Technician IV - Microbiology

Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing for water (manufacturing process, raw materials, in-process samples, final product) following specifications.
- Perform microbiological and chemical testing (e.g., bio burden, endotoxin, TOC, pH, conductivity) for water used in manufacturing and final product.
- Conduct in-process product testing (bio burden, contamination checks, endotoxin).
- Perform facilities/utilities environmental monitoring using Clemet, RCS, and surface sampling.
- Perform gowning sampling for routine and qualification/routine requirements.
- Perform other microbiological lab testing (growth promotion, microorganism identification).
- Support method transfer, equipment/instrument qualification, and process validation.
- Follow cGMP, GLP, and safety rules.
- Perform testing and document results within required timeframes; identify/submit LIMS-required samples.
- Perform lab equipment cleaning/maintenance and maintain MEC laboratory inventory; comply with required training certifications.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Medical Technology); Bachelorβs in Science (Microbiology) highly desirable.
- Minimum 2 years lab experience, specifically in environmental monitoring (facility and during process).
- Required testing experience: endotoxin (kinetic method: turbidimetric/chromogenic) and bio burden (membrane filtration).
- Equipment experience required: RCS and Climet.
