Role Summary

Talent Acquisition Associate Director responsible for leading senior-level recruitment across Finance, Accounting, and Legal. Focus on executive search, strategic partnering with senior leaders, and delivering business-aligned hiring in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment primarily focused on Director+ roles across Finance, Accounting, and Legal functions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, offering market intelligence, compensation benchmarking, and talent mapping.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience from outreach through offer negotiation.
  • Build and maintain a network of senior-level talent through proactive sourcing and relationship management.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, and business leaders on succession planning and workforce strategy.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence hiring decisions and optimize recruitment strategies.
  • Drive change management by adopting innovative technologies and processes, aligning recruitment strategies across the TA ecosystem.
  • Leverage brand strategy to position Vertex as an employer of choice.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated recruitment expertise in Finance, Accounting and/or Legal functions.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
  • Expertise in executive search methodologies, sourcing strategies, and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Strong storytelling and analytical skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Typically requires 8+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including 3+ years in executive search or senior-level hiring.
  • Experience in biotech/pharma or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred.
