Role Summary

The Associate Director, Derm (Rinvoq Atopic Dermatitis) Business Human Resources (BHR) is a trusted partner to the US Immunology organization, helping to shape culture, support business strategies and develop talent to make a remarkable impact. This role reports to the Senior BHR Director, Immunology and collaborates with the Dermatology Rinvoq Atopic Dermatitis team to implement people strategies that align with business plans and objectives. Hybrid schedule: Tuesday-Thursday onsite in Mettawa, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to the Derm AD Vice President and leadership teams in developing and implementing HR strategies to meet organizational and business needs.
  • Coach, consult, and influence leaders regarding leadership development, succession planning, and talent management; build strong relationships and provide strategic insights.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent; lead talent development and succession planning efforts.
  • Ensure effective delivery of HR programs and services; be responsible for HR results including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness, and related financial results.
  • Lead and advance HR priorities within Immunology to enhance talent, culture, and leadership capabilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HR partners across Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to coordinate HR elements and service delivery.
  • Provide consultation on organization design and effectiveness to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drive people manager development, promote high engagement, performance, and inclusion.
  • Facilitate and model change; develop communication strategies aligned with priorities.
  • Champion AbbVie Ways We Work; educate and coach on these behaviors.
  • Prioritize projects based on business needs; identify trends and innovative approaches to processes.
  • Develop proposals to address strategically important HR issues with an enterprise mindset.
  • Lead large-scale, multi-year projects that create transformational change in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs Degree required; Masterโ€šร„รดs Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience; experience supporting a global business and partnering with international leaders/HR colleagues.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business; project management or business experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of organizational development; broad HR functional knowledge and impact.
  • Re-organizational experience and experience creating structural hierarchy preferred.
  • Open to future global assignments outside the U.S.; travel 20-25%.
