POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop and implement strategies to increase market share by identifying targeted commercial and/or government hospitals, medical centers, surgical centers, and related entities within the assigned territory. Promote and sell the company’s surgical products and tissues through established agency partners and customers, and by developing new prospects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive sales growth and achieve defined sales performance goals.
- Identify and execute market opportunities by implementing marketing strategies and developing effective sales plans to achieve balanced revenue growth from accounts within the assigned territory.
- Present company-approved content to agencies, customers, and prospects on products and usage.
- Research and resolve commission issues for agencies per policy and guidelines.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal support teams to ensure effective support.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting, tracking of sales activities, and territory sales forecasts.
- Maintain awareness of industry activities, updates, and local market knowledge.
- Use scientific/medical studies to advance agencies’, customers’, and prospects’ knowledge of product and tissue offerings.
- Define territory plans to meet current and long-term revenue and sales goals.
- Work with surgical teammates to facilitate surgical growth within shared accounts.
- Manage contract compliance with agencies and their customer representation.
- Ensure agencies are trained and compliant with regulatory requirements and reporting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA in a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of related experience with 1–3 years in progressive responsible positions (or verifiable ability).
OR
- MS/MA with 1–3 years related experience; certification required in some areas.
- Prefer 3–4 years in medical device, biotechnology, and tissue segments.
- Prior experience in high-growth organizations and relationship development.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to interact with all management levels and customers.
- Strong influence, organization, flexibility, multi-tasking, attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, strategic/technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical/scientific data to physicians.
- Proven sales results/recognition; achievement of sales objectives.
- Strategic selling and market analytics.
- Ability to build a moderate-size network of healthcare provider relationships.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work at customer/clinical sites and/or home office; adhere to required dress code and credentialing (including up-to-date vaccines).
- Regular local and long-distance travel within the assigned territory.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
- Salary: $80,000–$100,000 plus commissions.
