Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance third-party audit activities, including designing standardized processes to gather and analyze third-party relationship information.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and tracking mechanisms for third-party audit plans, observations, trends, and remediation status.
- Oversee select third-party audits: lead risk discussions, coordinate consultants through all audit phases, and review consultant deliverables.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely remediation of audit observations; track action plans and validate closure.
- Prepare executive communications and stakeholder presentations summarizing third-party program objectives, key risks, observations, and insights.
- Project manage the annual Internal Audit risk assessment and annual audit plan process (milestones, dependencies, deliverables).
- Lead data-gathering and coordinate with data analytics to design/refine dashboards and analytical tools for risk assessment and prioritization.
- Coordinate and communicate timelines, expectations, and outputs during the risk assessment cycle; ensure risk interviews are scheduled, documented, and incorporated into reporting.
- Collaborate to assess and improve risk assessment and planning processes.
- Maintain adherence to IIA standards and the IA quality program, including audit monitoring, impact assessment of methodology/tool/process changes, internal QA reviews, and coordination of external quality assessment (EQA).
- Prepare summaries/presentations on IIA conformance and continuous improvement; support ad-hoc IA initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (required); advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certification strongly preferred (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, or equivalent).
- 5+ years progressive experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or related field; healthcare/pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environment is a plus.
- Experience leading audits end-to-end; third-party risk management/compliance/oversight (e.g., vendor/distributor audits) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; strong project management.
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to synthesize complex issues.
- Proficient Excel and PowerPoint; data analysis/visualization tools and AI tools experience is a plus.
- Strong technical/analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate complex processes and control environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage stakeholders across functions/geographies/seniority; commitment to integrity and objectivity.
