Position Summary
- The Cleaning Supervisor (Swing Shift) oversees, coordinates, and ensures compliance of cleaning and sanitization activities in GMP Manufacturing Classified and Controlled Non-Classified (CNC) Gowning/Locker Room areas at the J.POD facility (Redmond, WA).
- Provides direct leadership to cleaning staff and contractors during the evening shift, ensuring documentation, safety compliance, and consistent execution of cleaning processes.
What You’ll Do
Operational Oversight
- Supervise and coordinate evening shift cleaning across GMP classified areas.
- Ensure cleaning/disinfecting follows approved SOPs and defined frequencies.
- Verify approved disinfectants, correct solution preparation, and required contact times.
- Ensure proper segregation and dedicated cleaning equipment usage by area.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and contemporaneous completion of cleaning logs and Cleaning Solution Preparation logs.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and GMP compliance prior to shift close.
- Escalate documentation errors, deviations, or non-compliance in a timely manner.
Quality & GMP Control
- Maintain facility cleanliness standards for GMP manufacturing environments.
- Ensure cleaning supports contamination control strategy and inspection readiness.
- Enforce proper handling, labeling, and expiration tracking of cleaning solutions.
- Ensure area-specific requirements (dedicated equipment and segregation) are followed.
Safety Oversight
- Ensure personnel follow PPE requirements, including gowning procedures and use of safety equipment.
- Reinforce safe handling of cleaning agents per SDS guidance.
- Promote safe work practices around live equipment, high temperatures, or pressurized systems.
- Support spill response readiness per procedure.
Team Leadership & Training
- Provide direction, coaching, and oversight to cleaning staff and contractors.
- Ensure personnel are trained/qualified on applicable SOPs and safety requirements.
- Serve as primary point of contact for evening shift cleaning operations.
- Provide supervisory oversight across a 7-day work week; adjust schedules to cover weekends.
- Ensure continuity of standards, communication, and compliance across shifts/days.
- Drive accountability and reinforce a culture of quality, compliance, and ownership.
Who You Are
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in GMP cleaning, facilities, or manufacturing support.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of GMP requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 211 facility cleanliness/control expectations).
- Understanding of cleaning validation concepts, disinfectant use, and contamination control principles.
- Familiarity with controlled documentation practices (e.g., ALCOA+ principles).
Skills

Working Conditions
- Evening shift support in GMP manufacturing environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $81,000 to $109,250 (salary exempt).
