Responsibilities
- Drive regional sales impact by engaging highest-value gastroenterology (GI) customers and achieving/exceeding sales objectives.
- Maintain advanced product and disease state knowledge to deliver in-depth clinical dialogues and address questions/objections.
- Assess regional market dynamics, access opportunities, and competitive trends to accelerate pull-through.
- Partner with multiple Territory Sales Representatives (overlay model) to expand coverage and prescribing depth in priority accounts.
- Lead training and development: support new-hire onboarding, facilitate field skill development, and run workshops/capability sessions.
- Support strategic business planning with the Regional Sales Manager; align overlay priorities with territory/regional goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Marketing, Training, Sales Operations, etc.) to drive operational excellence.
- Execute with discipline: CRM usage, expense management, and compliance with all company/regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience (external); internal exceptional performance may allow fewer years.
- Consistent sales objective achievement with formal recognition (e.g., awards/President’s Club).
- Demonstrated product launch success and adoption in competitive markets.
- Advanced analytical/business acumen.
- Proven relationship-building with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and office staff (live/virtual).
- Strong digital skills (Microsoft Office, Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license; extensive regional travel (including overnights).
Strongly Preferred
- Overlay model experience.
- Peer mentoring/field trainer/facilitator experience; strong facilitation/presentation skills.
- GI specialty experience.
