Strategic Account Liaison

Responsibilities:
- Site Readiness and Activation: Lead site assessment and preparation to ensure treatment centers can procure and administer a one-time therapy upon approval.
- Infusion Network Strategy & Implementation: Execute infusion network strategy; build capacity and standard operating procedures to enable infusions.
- Buy and Bill Support: Collaborate with Patient Access Liaisons to guide providers through reimbursement, prior authorization, and financial assistance for high-cost therapies.
- One-Time Treatment Coordination: Develop/manage operational care pathways for prescribing and administering one-time therapies (EMR development, billing/reimbursement, procurement, patient scheduling, product delivery, infusion administration).
- Assess patient demand to ensure appropriate treatment capacity upon approval and beyond.
- Account Planning: Develop/execute comprehensive account plans emphasizing cell and gene therapy capabilities and readiness.
- Relationship Management: Build/maintain C-level relationships with IDNs, health systems, academic medical centers, community practices, and alternative sites of care.
- Site Identification: Identify and qualify potential treatment sites based on patient population, infrastructure, and clinical expertise.
- Serve as primary point of contact for complex, multi-stakeholder implementation.
- Navigate market access challenges (payer negotiations, patient access programs, specialty pharmacy partnerships).
- Manage extended sales cycles from site qualification through first patient treatment.
- Coordinate with hub services, specialty pharmacies, and patient support programs for seamless care delivery.
- Conduct site capability assessments (capacity/forecasting, cold chain, infusion suite requirements, staff training).
- Coordinate provider training programs on therapy administration.
- Work with medical science liaisons, regional business managers, patient access managers, and patient hub services.

Qualifications:
- Exceptional relationship-building/communication skills across clinical, administrative, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and site readiness tracking tools.
- Ability to translate complex scientific/logistical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation skills for site agreements/contracts.
- Travel: 60–70% (domestic and international).
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences/Business or related; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years sales and/or strategic account management with IDNs/healthcare systems in biotech/pharma/rare disease.
- 3+ years experience with cell and gene therapies or other advanced modalities.
- Proven track record managing high-value, low-volume product launches.
- Experience with buy-and-bill reimbursement and specialty pharmacy networks.
- Experience with FDA-approved cell/gene therapies or other high-cost, buy-and-bill, provider-administered therapies.
- Experience with launches requiring specialized infrastructure build and center-of-excellence implementation.
- Experience with academic medical centers, healthcare systems, and IDNs.
- Experience developing/executing site activation and infusion strategies.
