Senior Therapeutic Specialist, HIV Treatment (Los Angeles Harbor: Long Beach, Torrance, Miracle Mile, & Cedars Towers)
Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales to consistently achieve/exceed sales targets within the assigned geographic area (including in-person meetings with healthcare practitioners).
- Build strong relationships with healthcare practices; provide disease awareness information, clinical updates, and communicate healthcare changes.
- Present and communicate complex clinical concepts at appropriate literacy levels for diverse audiences.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan; monitor progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans (customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and external expenditures).
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams (and may co-promote with external partners).
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities; communicate proactively with marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events and complete required administrative/reporting tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma and 11+ years relevant experience, OR Associate (9+), Bachelor (7+), Master (5+).
- Regular travel within territory; satisfy onsite visitation requirements (as applicable).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS; 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; strong selling skills in competitive markets; track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets); previous product launch experience.
