Senior Therapeutic Specialist, HIV Treatment (Los Angeles Harbor territory covering Long Beach, Torrance, Miracle Mile, & Cedars Towers)

Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products and services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets in an assigned geographic area.
- Provide in-person representation and face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners.
- Establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices to deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and healthcare changes.
- Synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences at appropriate literacy/conceptual levels.
- Use strong presentation and communication skills; maintain a proven record of interacting with healthcare professionals.
- Develop an understanding of issues and opportunities unique to each geography.

Knowledge / Role requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of Gilead and competitor products in therapeutic areas and disease-state complexities.
- Promote appropriate use of Gilead products in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Demonstrate peer leadership by consistently modeling appropriate compliance, behavior, and conduct.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan; monitor progress and create action plans to meet sales goals.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams; may collaborate with outside partners to co-promote products/services.
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities; communicate proactively with marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety and Public Health and other internal departments as appropriate.
- Perform required administrative tasks (e.g., timely call reporting and expense submission).
- Adhere to applicable regulatory agency, state, federal, and company policies, procedures, and business ethics.

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 11+ years relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree with 9+; OR Bachelor’s degree with 7+; OR Master’s degree with 5+.
- Ability to travel as reasonably required, including regular travel within the assigned area.
- Satisfy onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners in the assigned area, if applicable.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in highly competitive markets.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets.
- Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.

- Salary range: $133,195.00 - $172,370.00.
