Senior Therapeutic Specialist (HIV Treatment) — Albany territory covering Watertown, Utica, Westchester, Hudson Valley.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead products and services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales by consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets in a geographic area.
- Build relationships and engage healthcare providers; develop and execute a territory business plan and adjust strategies to meet/exceed goals.
- Maintain expertise in Gilead products, competitive products, and the therapeutic disease state.
- Provide disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education tailored for diverse audiences.
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to support access/acquisition/administration/operational needs; collaborate with healthcare organizations and partner companies (including co-promotion).
- Use influencing and relationship skills to drive sales; complete required administrative/reporting tasks; manage territory budget.
- Continuously learn/retain technical and scientific product information; work autonomously to exceed personal goals.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced communication and presentation; ability to distill complex clinical concepts.
- Proven sales performance and territory/account management skills; multi-product experience.
- Technical/scientific proficiency; cultural awareness and comfort engaging in sexual health conversations.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix; ethical leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- High school + 11 years, or Associate + 9 years, or Bachelor + 7 years, or Master + 5 years.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel within the territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS; 7+ years pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty market success; injectable physician-administered product experience; managed care familiarity.
Compensation/Benefits (if eligible)
- Salary range: $133,195.00–$172,370.00; may include discretionary bonus/long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
