Job Description
As a Senior Therapeutic Specialist (Liver HBV/HDV), you represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales by achieving/exceeding targets in the San Diego/Orange County territory through in-person representation, face-to-face meetings, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Sales Strategy
- Build relationships and engage healthcare providers across touchpoints.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor and adjust strategy to meet/exceed sales goals.
- Product & Disease State Expertise
- Maintain deep understanding of Gilead products, competitors, and HBV/HDV disease state.
- Promote appropriate use of Gilead products to HCPs.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to support access, acquisition, administration, and operations.
- Collaborate externally with healthcare organizations/partners (including co-promotion).
- Leadership & Compliance
- Model ethical/compliant behavior; ensure adherence to applicable rules and timely reporting of adverse events.
- Customer Engagement & Reporting
- Use influencing/relationship skills to drive sales.
- Perform required administrative/reporting tasks; manage territory budget.
- Continuous learning; autonomous drive to exceed goals; experience selling Buy and Bill.
Skills & Competencies Needed
- Advanced communication; sales acumen; technical/scientific proficiency.
- Cultural awareness and ability to engage in sexual health conversations.
- Cross-functional matrix collaboration; partnership skills; leadership/ethical conduct.
- Autonomy/initiative; patient-centric focus; account management; multi-product portfolio experience.
Basic Qualifications
- High school + 11 yrs OR Associate + 9 yrs OR Bachelor + 7 yrs OR Master + 5 yrs.
- Travel and HCP onsite visitation as required; valid driverβs license.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS; 7+ yrs pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty-market success.
- Injectable physician-administered product experience; managed care familiarity.
