Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines within your portfolio for appropriate patients through a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians/HCPs as primary point of contact.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs timely and scientifically; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications within a territory to meet/exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Articulate clinical/scientific rationale to create demand for appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise across assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans.
- Use CE^3 (once implemented) for insights and dynamic call planning; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Use approved scientific resources/publications; ensure medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) consistent with label.
- Organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau list selection, scheduling/logistics).
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engage real-time medical support via Medical on Call for unsolicited/technical inquiries.
- Collaborate with other field teams and share insights internally.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility-building with key customers and customer-influence network.
- Proven account management, selling competencies, and track record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Cross-functional effectiveness with positive, can-do mindset.
