What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate product clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages; conducting planned programs; scheduling and following up on medical educational programs; meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze business effectiveness and territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain passion for products and build the brand while serving patients.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree; OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales; OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales; OR Associate’s degree + 6 years sales; OR High school/GED + 8 years sales.
Preferred Qualifications (selected):
- 1–3 years sales/marketing/clinical (pharma/healthcare preferred); product/hospital sales experience in specified therapeutic areas; leadership/training and success under pressure; strong communication/storytelling; integrity/accountability; life sciences or business degree; local market knowledge.
