Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver capital asset programs of at least $1BN USD that are business-critical, from front-end planning (conceptual design) through operational qualification (“cradle to grave”), ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance; maintain communication with leadership, project teams, governance teams, business partners, and stakeholders; facilitate issue resolution; anticipate scope changes; implement work safely with quality, speed, and value.
- Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured project management approach aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for all project personnel/contractors/subcontractors from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management).
- 15+ years capital project delivery experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities (preferably leading multiple projects >$100MM).
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
Additional Preferences
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (e.g., bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, devices).
- Experience with GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, and scheduling.
- PE (or equivalent) and/or PMP certification.
- Strong judgment, communication, ability to influence without direct administrative authority, continuous improvement/agent for change.
Additional Information
- International travel likely (~15% to 30%), weekends and multi-week stays.
- Full relocation to project location required for onsite presence.
