Sr. Ops Manager/Associate Director Operations

Responsibilities:
- Assist in development of the Operation Excellence Program with Corporate PWS Leader and execute it at the Plant level.
- Supervise, support, coach, train, and develop the Plant Operating team to enable program execution.
- Monitor day-to-day Plant performance, including unplanned losses; drive improvements in overall losses across Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
- Ensure operations comply with current Good Manufacturing Procedures; review Standard Operating Procedure changes and monitor training/enforcement to ensure SOPs are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, and Productivity losses using problem-solving tools/methodologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators per Operations Excellence/Work System Practices; encourage close teamwork across functions (Engineering, Safety, Asset Reliability, Quality, etc.) to close gaps.
- Develop individual training and development plans for direct and indirect reports.
- Perform and lead Root Cause Failure for losses using economic evaluation and critical thinking.
- Recruit, hire, conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance/payroll, succession planning, and recognition programs to attract and retain talent.
- Drive conformance to Work System processes through partnership and education.
- Ensure implementation of repairs/modifications from gap assessments, plant audits, notifications, and loss improvement activities.
- Participate in capacity or budget planning; gather/evaluate information and make recommendations to the Plant Manager or other management.

Experience Required / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or related discipline plus 7+ years of production supervision experience.
- Continuous improvement knowledge (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, TPM, RCA).
- Knowledge of cGMPs and experience supervising in pharmaceutical/nutritional operations.
- Firsthand experience managing infant nutritional manufacturing operations OR experience managing processing spray drying facilities.
- Sound judgment and good decision-making.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning and analytical skills; thorough understanding of manufacturing, packaging and/or warehousing processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas and shifts.
- Ability to manage in high pressure environments.
- Computer systems: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, CMMS, BI).
