Senior Oncology Specialist
What You Will Do
- Serve as the liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Act as the primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge and effectively communicating clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Achieve territory sales using Oncology background and experience by:
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up with medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets).
- Service and manage accounts using internal and external relationships, including ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient service front and center.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Leverage Oncology/disease state awareness and industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Oncology
- 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/medical device industries
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology (and/or nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases)
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
