Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and cultivate long-term relationships with emerging opinion leaders (EOLs), thought leaders, and healthcare professionals (HCPs) across community and health system settings within a defined territory.
- Deliver accurate, balanced, scientifically rigorous peer-to-peer information on therapies and therapeutic areas.
- Engage HCPs in community practice settings in evidence-based scientific dialogue using relevant clinical and outcomes data.
- Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, and clinical research activities, including for community-based providers and care teams.
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate medical/scientific insights from the field to internal stakeholders (e.g., Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Strategic Account Management).
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs in a compliant, timely manner (within 2 business days).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align scientific strategy and messaging.
- Represent the company at national, regional, and local medical conferences and scientific meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge of disease areas, clinical data, competitive landscape, and evolving evidence.
- Ensure activities comply with applicable regulations, company policies, and PhRMA guidelines.
- Apply business acumen to understand territory dynamics and prioritize high-impact engagements.
- With guidance, build foundational skills to execute field medical responsibilities with increasing consistency.
Qualifications
- Required: PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO in a relevant life science discipline; pharmaceutical industry fellowship preferred.
- 1β3 yearsβ prior MSL experience within pharma/biotech.
- Scientific acumen to critically evaluate and communicate complex clinical data.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for peer-to-peer scientific dialogue.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital engagement platforms.
- Ability to travel 60β70% within assigned territory; must reside within territory.
- Valid driverβs license required.
Benefits/Compensation
- U.S. Pay Range: $162,800.00β$220,200.00; eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive.
