Sr. Medical Science Liaison, IgG4 – Rare Disease – NJ & S. Manhattan (Territory: NJ and South Manhattan)

What You Will Do
Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community and establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US.

Responsibilities
- Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors.
- Understand, integrate, and communicate scientific/medical information and the commercial value of products.
- Work self-directed in a changing environment; obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback.
- Pair customers’ unmet needs with internal resources.
- Collaborate across functional areas to identify opportunities addressed via scientific, medical, and health economic information.
- Identify potential speakers and train for sponsored external speaker programs.
- Participate in national/regional conferences and scientific venues to support Medical/Clinical strategy and relationships.
- With medical affairs and clinical development, evaluate external clinical research collaborations and facilitate IITs and company-sponsored trials.
- Monitor competitors and provide feedback to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree; or Master’s + 3 years Medical Affairs; or Bachelor’s + 5 years Medical Affairs.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- PharmD/PhD/MD/DO; 2+ years in biotech/pharma medical or scientific affairs; 3+ years clinical/clinical research/medical research (post-doctoral training counts); rare disease expertise.
- Exceptional oral/written communication and interpersonal networking skills.
- Travel up to 60%; possible up to 15-hour days due to travel.
- Ability to learn new business applications; proficient in Microsoft Office.
