Medical Affairs
Territory: West (CA, AZ, NM, TX, NV, UT, CO, OR, ID, WY, WA, MT)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory strategic and tactical plan aligned with medical/scientific needs.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key Thought Leaders/stakeholders to increase product knowledge, drive disease awareness, and (if applicable) product acceptance.
- Facilitate collaboration with targeted thought leaders via 1:1s, small group discussions, and presentations.
- Drive clinical trial execution at study sites in collaboration with Clinical Research/Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management (site ID/evaluation/training, recruitment, Investigator’s Meetings).
- Document and communicate medical insights from the field to internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a reliable, trusted resource for accurate, up-to-date medical/scientific knowledge.
- Build and maintain technical/clinical expertise to enable deep external scientific discourse; coordinate with R&D.
- Support scientific congress/advisory boards and training of internal colleagues.
- Partner cross-functionally to optimize product strategy alignment; provide medical input and internal clinical education as needed.
- Plan/attend select national/regional scientific meetings; prepare key-findings summaries.
- Provide accurate, timely responses to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs.
- Comply with internal/external guidelines; maintain expenses within budget; document field activities accurately and timely.
Stand Out Skills:
- Cardiology/Rheumatology/Immunology experience; excellent communication/presentation.
- Experience with biologic immunotherapies.
- Experience in rare diseases and orphan drug launches.
Qualifications:
- PharmD/PhD/MD/DO/NP/PA or other advanced scientific degree + 3+ years relevant industry/field medical/clinical experience (preferably 1–3+ years MSL).
- Proven ability to build/maintain Thought Leader/SME and HCP relationships; strong collaboration; compliance/ethics.
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly; travel up to 75% (including weekends/overnights).
Preferred residence: Texas (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio); also acceptable regions in West.
Pay Range: $205,000 - $250,000 USD
