Sr Mgr, Service Innovation (People Leader) — Santa Clara, California
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Service Innovation members representing different service areas to realize the Service Innovation project plan.
- Lead multi-disciplinary service innovation change projects; manage cross-functional project/study teams.
- Incorporate Design for Serviceability concepts into the product design process.
- Provide inputs to the Service product roadmap to support the Service business vision.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive serviceability requirements strategy for easy maintenance and support (hardware and software).
- Oversee development and continuous improvement of service documentation frameworks for product upgrades/updates; align with industry standards and best practices; gather/integrate user feedback to enhance usability and effectiveness.
- Recommend and implement innovative digital solutions and predictive maintenance tools for real-time monitoring and efficient maintenance.
- Continuously enhance the robotics platform and develop new service solutions by integrating new technologies and collaborating with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering-related degree (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical). Bachelor’s with 15 years or Master’s with 10 years related experience.
Required:
- People leadership experience with proven delivery of results.
- Experience in a development environment; understanding product creation processes and technical principles of applicable systems/components.
- Experience leading multi-functional management meetings and updates.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence; collaborative partnership across all levels/functions.
- DfX, designing for Serviceability, and lean methodologies.
Preferred:
- R&D experience; SW affinity/experience if not the primary specialization.
- Project management skills (planning, monitoring, execution, etc.).
- Medical devices industry experience; knowledge of ISO and FDA-regulated environments.
