Senior Manager, Scientific Communications & Engagement (Obesity Global Publication Lead)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global and US scientific publication, communication, and HCP engagement strategies aligned to product/therapeutic area objectives; ensure consistent, compliant, compelling scientific/clinical evidence.
- Lead global/US scientific communication and HCP engagement plan implementation with product medical leads and field leaders.
- Adapt strategy based on disease landscape, emerging data, channel innovation, and cross-functional insights.
- Define, implement, and track metrics with Medical Data & Analytics, product medical leads, and field leaders to assess publication and enhanced content impact.
- Partner with Amgen India to translate plans into global/US content (publications, medical/scientific content, US payer content).
- Create product publication plans and manage planning/execution process.
- Develop strategic scientific content briefs and guide deliverables (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, enhanced content) by Amgen India.
- Maintain adherence to ICMJE and Good Publication Practice (GPP).
- Support process improvements, standardization, systems enhancements, and digital innovation; define and track KPIs.
- Assist with training of Scientific Communications staff in India and other geographies as relevant.
- Collaborate across Amgen India and cross-functional partners; manage external vendors/agencies for quality and compliance; provide mentorship as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 2 years Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Master’s + 6 OR Bachelor’s + 8 OR Associate’s + 10 OR HS diploma/GED + 12.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DO) with 4+ years in Medical/Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or related field.
- Publication strategy/development and vendor management experience; therapeutic area clinical/research experience.
- Experience with publication planning, ICMJE and GPP/transparent standards.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; multi-channel/digital engagement experience; AI literacy/digital fluency.
- Travel: ~10–20%.
