Senior Manager, Scientific Communications & Engagement Strategy (Obesity Content Lead)
Responsibilities
- Lead development and oversee global and US scientific communication and HCP engagement plans; adapt to disease landscape, emerging data, and channel innovation.
- Partner with Medical Data & Analytics and field/product medical leads to define, implement, and track metrics/KPIs for content and channel impact.
- Translate Amgen India scientific communication/HCP engagement plans into global and US content.
- Create strategic content briefs aligned to scientific narrative, product scientific communication, and HCP engagement plan.
- Oversee dissemination of scientific/medical materials (e.g., DSE, digital/interactive content, FAQs, MSL resources, payer materials, compendia updates); ensure accuracy, evidence alignment, and compliance.
- Contribute to scientific programming at educational events/congresses (booth and symposia content).
- Support process improvements/standardization, systems enhancements, and digital innovation; assist training of scientific communications staff.
- Collaborate across Amgen India and cross-functional partners; manage external vendors/agencies and mentor as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Associate’s + 10 years OR HS diploma/GED + 12 years in Medical/Scientific Affairs.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- MD/PharmD/PhD/DO; 4+ years in Medical/Scientific Affairs/Clinical Development or related.
- Experience in strategic content planning/creation and vendor management in biopharma; therapeutic area clinical/research.
- Knowledge of regulatory/legal frameworks for scientific communications.
- Strong analytical/communication skills; multi-channel digital engagement experience; AI literacy; travel ~10–20%.
