Sr. Manager Commercial Data Management

Role Summary

Senior Manager, Commercial Data Management leads data management for the US Commercial Markets IT team. You will oversee data lifecycle activities, shape conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensure data integrity and compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders. You will manage data within the data warehouse using systems such as Veeva CRM, Marketing Sources, and Snowflake to enable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the commercial data lifecycle, from ingestion and data modeling to data quality and architecture, ensuring data is managed effectively and securely
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data consistency and integrity
• Partner with business units to understand data requirements, identify key data assets, and provide strategic input and direction on data usage
• As an IT Product Owner for a Therapeutic Area, support Agile Safe Framework for Implementation of initiatives
• Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines, manage data models, and support the deployment of data platforms and storage solutions
• Translate business requirements into Business Ready Snowflake Views/Star Schema Models
• Manage data within the US Snowflake warehouse from systems such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Align, Marketing Sources
• Architect, build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data management within Snowflake
• Support data governance initiatives related to commercial data privacy and compliance
• Support and Enhance Data Quality Framework needed for US Commercial Data
• Support AI and Agentic AI initiatives on Snowflake Services such as Cortex/Intelligence
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on Data Catalog usage
• Ensure data compliance and security with HIIPA regulations

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience
• Required: Mandatory experience in data management within Snowflake
• Required: Extensive knowledge of Snowflake SQL/Architecture/Scaling/Cost Management
• Required: Proficiency in Dimensional model methodology
• Required: Working Knowledge of Commercial Data for a biotech company
• Required: Experience working with Salesforce, Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, Veeva Network, Patient Claims, Marketing Data Sources such as Websites, Campaigns, social media
• Required: Experience working across complex architecture alliances with partner companies and governance implementations
• Required: Experiences in all facets of SDLC – Development, Testing, Production Deployments and Operations
• Required: Experience managing offshore contractors for data management work
• Required: Experience working in SAFE Agile Framework for Implementation
• Required: Ability to work inclusively, collaboratively, to deliver data products within IT and with different Stakeholders
• Preferred: Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin
• Preferred: Experience working with Informatica Data Quality
• Preferred: Knowledge in Implementation of Agentic AI products for Data Management such as Snowflake Cortex AI, Intelligence

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 10+ years of experience in data management (Required)
