Sr. Financial Analyst β Program Finance
Responsibilities:
- Own and lead financial reporting and analysis for assigned programs and collaborations (quarterly forecasts; monthly actuals; communicate status, execution, and variances to plan/forecast).
- Support clinical teams by building detailed clinical trial budgets and tracking/monitoring clinical trial financials through study completion.
- Translate development plan operational components into detailed forecasts for internal and external clinical costs; load into Hyperion.
- Work with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external collaborators to manage and communicate P&L implications; partner with Accounting to ensure actuals and clinical trial accruals are complete and accurate.
- Lead/participate in initiatives to improve ways of working (process streamlining, best-practice identification and implementation, and standardization of financial templates/deliverables).
- Perform ad hoc projects and financial analyses; communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BS in a business or quantitative field.
- 4β6+ yearsβ experience with forecasting, budgeting and/or business partnering; ideally in a science or research-driven environment.
- MBA/CPA/CFA a plus.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to implement best practices and drive efficient management.
- Develop detailed, accurate financial forecasts and conduct financial reviews.
- Identify and update forecast/budget assumptions using latest information; test assumptions with subject matter experts.
- Use financial analyses to support decision-making and validate budgets based on realistic assumptions.
