Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies to educate providers on payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
- Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications:
- 5+ years industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management; at least 3 years in a specific therapeutic area with experience in Managed Health Care and/or Payer Account Management and/or Access and Reimbursement; excellent territory and account management skills
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and other access-related situations for specialty medicines
- Strong leadership track record; ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements at National and Regional levels across all settings of care
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D (or Medicare) and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing (e.g., Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, white-bagging)
- Demonstrated understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services; understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Bachelor’s degree and/or valid driver’s license
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities/organizations in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses) and be in good standing/eligible to obtain credentials
