This role is field-based; candidates should live within the territory (Long Island, Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Newark NJ, Trenton NJ and surrounding areas).
Lead a team of Clinical Account Executives (CAEs) across the NYC Metro region to enhance AbbVie’s leadership in Multiple Myeloma through customer engagement, key account management, and compliant promotional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop people through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Translate strategy into execution via clear priorities, disciplined coaching, and follow-through
- Serve as expert in product knowledge, disease state, and the hematology/oncology marketplace
- Strategically execute brand strategy locally
- Cultivate a culture of performance, inclusiveness, and personal growth grounded in trust and accountability
- Manage budget and resources to maximize patient impact
- Lead Key Account Management (KAM) by aligning in-field teams around shared account priorities
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years of experience in pharma/biotech
- Oncology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma or hematologic malignancies
- Consistently deliver top results
- Leadership mindset and capability (inspire/motivate teams)
- Business acumen, influence across cross-functional teams
- Coaching experience developing CAEs
- Aptitude: data/critical thinking/judgment for timely decisions
- Agility: adapt to ambiguity and lead through change
- Talent: grow and expand responsibility
- Driving: personal/company vehicle; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
Preferred (Not required):
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Experience as a people leader
