Position Brand Description
- Sr. Director- Packaging provides operational leadership to ensure effective delivery of device packaging for assets deployed at RTP. Member of the Site Lead Team; works with RTP Lead Team to accelerate ramp up and stabilization of deployed assets. Provides backup responsibilities for device assembly operations.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Provide Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Quality leadership for the DAP Flow team.
- Support Site Leadership to build a diverse, capable site organization; drive talent management, development, and retention.
- Represent operational capabilities beyond the Lilly RTP site.
- Partner with Technical Services, Quality, and Engineering leadership to deliver operationally strong results.
- Develop/refine local processes and procedures; ensure practice matches procedure.
- Champion continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Support initiatives including Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Direct interaction with Regulatory Agencies during site inspections.
- Understand and influence the manufacturing control strategy for device packaging.

Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing site.
- 5+ years management/leadership experience, including leading/working effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Front-line experience in device assembly and/or packaging operations.

Additional Preferences
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude; ability to train and mentor.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of basic requirements of regulatory agencies.
- Facility/area start-up experience; operations and engineering experience.
- Experience with highly automated equipment.
- Experience with combination products, device assembly, pharmaceutical packaging, aseptic filling; equipment qualification and process validation.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
- Experience with ASRS warehouses or AGVs.
- Experience with deviation and change management systems (e.g., Trackwise).

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

- Site: Lilly Research Triangle Park.
- Work schedule: 8-hour days, Monday–Friday; overtime as required.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $163,500–$239,800.
