Sr. Director, Field Reimbursement

Role: Senior leader responsible for developing and executing Harrow's national field reimbursement strategy to support buy-and-bill products in Retina and Surgical markets. Main objectives include building and managing a high-performing team of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), ensuring customer confidence in coverage, coding, billing, and claims processes, and driving patient access at scale. Responsibilities encompass team leadership, defining strategy, cross-functional collaboration, payer and coding expertise, claims analytics, and compliance oversight. The role involves establishing KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and providing authoritative reimbursement guidance, with a focus on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. The candidate will analyze claims data to identify trends and barriers, develop targeted action plans, and inform payer strategies. Collaborating with Legal and Compliance teams ensures adherence to regulations such as OIG and PhRMA guidelines. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 10+ years in market access or reimbursement within biotech or specialty pharma, and 5+ years of leadership experience. Deep expertise in payer policies, coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10), billing workflows, and claims processes is required. Experience in Retina, Ophthalmology, or Surgical specialties is highly preferred. The position is remote with up to 75% travel, and requires strong stakeholder management, executive presence, and data-driven decision-making skills.
