Role Summary
Senior Director/Executive Director, Global Security responsible for developing and managing the Company’s security program, identifying, controlling, and mitigating security risks across global markets to protect associates, facility assets, and products. Reviews and consults on new operational practices to maintain security and safety of employees.
Responsibilities
- Monitor risks related to the security of the company and its operations in all markets.
- Develop programs to mitigate security risks while maintaining regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Partner with legal, HR and compliance to lead incident investigations.
- Establish and develop relationships with external agencies and law enforcement bodies.
- Identify and deploy technology and capabilities to monitor and report on security threats.
- Develop strategic programs and processes, build cross-functional relationships, and support global security requirements.
- Manage partner/vendor relationships.
- Partner with senior leaders and oversee employee high-risk travel.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve objectives, develop new programs, and leverage resources for program and service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and manage core physical security programs, including policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, and deployment of security technologies.
- May assist with investigations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Criminal Justice or Security degree preferred.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in Security or Protection Services; significant leadership experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Corporate security experience required.
- Global experience, including international security operations in APAC, LATAM, and Europe.
- Knowledge of security best practices; proven ability to partner with business to advise on physical, personnel, and supply chain security.
- Ability to understand all areas of the organization and key functional processes and resources.
- Strong analytical skills to assess processes and problems and recommend resolutions; interpersonal skills to influence global stakeholders.
- Ability to assess risk and make business-focused recommendations.
- Strong decision-making ability in crisis and non-crisis situations.
- Industry certifications are preferred; security clearance preferred.
