Role Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the S&M functional leaders during the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial information and insights to management. They will be responsible for core finance functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, with additional responsibilities under the direction of the Sr. Manager, FP&A.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and support the management of monthly financial cost center tracking files.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, prior year, and budget/forecast, and prepare monthly financial reports for leadership.
  • Assist in preparing and importing data for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts & landings, and long-range financial planning with insights into senior leadership on financial performance and trends.
  • Support the approval process for contracts, purchase requisitions, and position requests, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to provide data-driven insights and support business decision-making.
  • Prepare data for ad-hoc reporting and participate in meetings with senior leadership to discuss financial results and business performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience including accounting, financial analysis, or financial planning/budgeting. Pharmaceutical industry related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software
  • OneStream Software experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to audiences at all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Initiative-taker can work independently and take initiative in challenging situations

Education
