The Senior Accountant, R&D Finance will manage the accounting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting of various R&D costs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; ensure GAAP and corporate accounting policy compliance for R&D prepaids and accruals
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly budget vs. actuals (flux) and period-over-period analyses
- Support R&D business unit with quarterly forecasts and monthly accruals
- Assist R&D in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts
- Lead monthly cross-functional meetings to understand clinical/nonclinical activities, report financial insights, and review trends
- Provide key financial reporting information and operational support with vendors (e.g., contract research organizations)
- Support audit-related requests impacted by R&D accounting; assist with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls
- Drive cross-functional process improvements; mitigate issues and implement preventive measures
- Complete special projects for process or reporting improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting required, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably public accounting)
- CPA or equivalent preferred

- Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills
- Effective relationship management across all business levels
- Ability to work independently while collaborating; strong critical thinking
- ERP experience is a plus (preferably Oracle); full training provided
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; interest in data analytics tools/process automation
Work setup/application instructions:
- Hybrid role; on-site work at a U.S. facility and/or occasional in-person company events.
