Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative
Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts; customize discussions based on customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact front and center.
Required/Basic Qualifications:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR HS/GED + 6 years sales.
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate’s + 6 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR HS/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital sales in listed specialties (oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS in Life Sciences or Business Admin.
- Adaptability with core competencies: planning/organizing; leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Specialty Representative salary range: $89,880–$121,602. Senior Specialty Representative salary range: $115,949–$156,872 (actual varies).
