Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative
Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze effectiveness of sales activities/territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Demonstrate sustained passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact at the forefront.
- Uphold science-based, ethical, accountable values.
Basic Qualifications:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience (non-sales) OR Associate’s + 6 years sales and/or clinical experience (non-sales) OR High school/GED + 8 years sales and/or clinical experience (non-sales).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in specified specialties (e.g., oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences/Business; adaptability to core competencies.
