Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative

What You Will Do
- Act as the primary customer contact by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Serve as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages; conducting planned programs; scheduling and following up on medical educational programs; and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, including customizing discussions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow.
- Demonstrate sustained passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront.

Basic Qualifications — Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience

Basic Qualifications — Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related) OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related) OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases (and related diseases/treatments).
- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with Core Competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
