Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative - Cardiovascular - Manhattan North, NY

Responsibilities:
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Serve as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts: customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow.
- Demonstrate sustained passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle, consistently building the brand with patient impact at the forefront.
Basic Qualifications — Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience
Basic Qualifications — Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field not related to sales OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field not related to sales OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field not related to sales
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device product or hospital sales; experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning & Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal/External Relationships
