Overall Purpose
- Launch a product in the ophthalmic presbyopia market by delivering territory disease-state education and driving launch and ongoing growth of the product portfolio.
- Execute sales strategy with strong ownership, compliance, and accountability to maximize sales while adapting to market and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accounts and relationships with targeted physicians (Optometrists & Ophthalmologists).
- Exceed sales performance goals and territory productivity metrics.
- Use analytical skills to prioritize customer engagements and drive reach/frequency to expand product trial and utilization.
- Understand ophthalmology/optometry practice functions and how they impact prescribing and pull-through.
- Maintain clinical and product knowledge (ocular anatomy, disease state, products, and office treatment patterns).
- Set actionable business plans and align selling activities to drive impact.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for ethics and compliance.
- Maximize key resources to achieve territory success.
- Partner with stakeholders (district managers, marketing, medical affairs, sales ops, inside sales, training) to adapt and succeed.
- Share best practices to elevate national performance.
- Ensure PDMA compliance and follow company/industry compliance guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Dimensions / Work Conditions
- Field-based (remote); candidate must live within the assigned territory.
- Travel within the territory and beyond (sales meetings, customer conventions, and San Diego, CA headquarters); up to 40β50% travel.
- Reports to the District Manager.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Office and ophthalmic practitioner locations; sit for extended periods; answer telephone; use keyboard/written communication.
- Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Flexible with varying schedules/hours; frequent out-of-town travel.

Salary Range (if applicable)
- $110,000β$140,000 per year.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of success (required).
- Proven pharmaceutical launch experience (strongly preferred).
- Eye care experience (strongly preferred).
