Overall Purpose
- Launch and grow LENZ Therapeutics’ ophthalmic presbyopia product portfolio in the assigned territory through territory disease-state education and frontline specialty sales execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop accounts with targeted physicians (Optometrists & Ophthalmologists).
- Drive execution by exceeding sales performance goals and key productivity metrics across the territory.
- Use analytical skills to plan productive activity; prioritize key customer engagements; drive reach and frequency to expand product trial and utilization.
- Understand ophthalmology/optometry practice functions and how roles impact prescribing and product pull-through.
- Maintain complete knowledge of eye care clinical information: ocular anatomy, disease state, products, and office treatment patterns.
- Set and execute actionable business plans aligned to drive impact.
- Maintain personal accountability for ethics and compliance.
- Maximize resources to achieve territory success.
- Adapt in a stakeholder-driven environment (district managers, marketing, medical affairs, sales ops, inside sales, training).
- Share best practices to elevate performance.
- Ensure PDMA compliance and adherence to company and industry compliance guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and manage change; adapt quickly to new market information.

Additional Dimensions
- Field-based/remote; must live within the assigned territory.
- Travel within the territory and beyond for sales meetings, customer conventions, and to San Diego, CA headquarters; up to 40–50% travel in some territories.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Office and ophthalmic practitioner location work; sit for long periods; occasional walking and lifting up to 20 lbs.; flexible schedule.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of success (required).
- Proven pharmaceutical launch experience (strongly preferred).
- Eye care experience (strongly preferred).

Benefits/Compensation
- Salary range: $110,000–$140,000 per year (based on successful sales experience in pharma, eye care pharma, and vision care). Incentive bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits are offered.
