Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Provide current knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: tailor discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate and sustain passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact front and center.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years of sales experience.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales experience and/or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific field) not sales-related OR Associate degree + 6 years sales/clinical experience (not sales-related) OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales/clinical experience (not sales-related).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital sales in specified therapeutic areas (oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration.
- Core competency adaptability (planning/organizing, leveraging knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, cultivating relationships).
