Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and field tactics to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while centering the patient.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; execute post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive appropriate next steps to close.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, segments, disease/product/clinical expertise) to align strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
- If no bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Adapt sales approach based on customer behavior; strong business acumen and use of business tools.
- Operate effectively in a matrix environment; demonstrate strategic/critical thinking; recognized expert resource.
- Preferred: proven therapeutic-area sales success; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Must meet HCIR credentialing requirements; responsibility for background/drug screens/immunization/fingerprinting/licenses.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe-driving requirements.
