This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and gain appropriate calls to action to close each sales call.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes customer coverage and frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product knowledge) to align brand strategy and execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years industry experience (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven success in selling; strong presentation skills; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing experience; English proficiency (verbal/written for non-English-speaking countries).
- Essential: satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; maintain good standing.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
