This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating in accordance with AbbVie business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; execute post-call evaluation to improve performance; handle objections and close every sales call.
- Proactively serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, and disease/product/clinical and sales expertise; share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- Equivalent experience: at least 5 years with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven leadership success; solid presentation skills; business acumen; proficient use of business tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Adapts selling approach based on customer style/behavior; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Preferred: commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing).
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (verbal/written) for non-English speaking countries.
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driverโ€™s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
