Field-based sales role covering Charlottesville, Richmond, Harrisonburg, and Farmville, VA. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while complying with AbbVie policies and laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and close each sales call.
- Proactively serve customer needs to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise; share market intelligence to align strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications (required unless noted):
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience.
- If no degree: 5+ years relevant industry experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; lead in matrix environments; influence and peer-coach.
- Preferred: proven sales success; commercial pharma experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing); English proficiency (as applicable).
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements; valid driverโ€™s license; pass pre-employment drug screen and meet safe driving requirements.
