- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; perform post-call evaluation; handle objections and concerns; close each sales call.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations; build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Continuously build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to anticipate changes and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of degree: 5+ years relevant industry experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Leadership success; solid presentation skills; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; proficient use of business tools.
- Ability to adapt selling approach to customer style/behavior; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: proven sales success in therapeutic areas; experience with physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (for non-English speaking countries).
- HCIR credentialing required to enter facilities/organizations; must be in good standing/eligible; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and required licenses. Candidate is responsible for meeting requirements.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving requirements.
