Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive appropriate next steps.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively meeting customer needs; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Continuously gather and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to align teams and optimize brand execution.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify and develop disease-state experts/speakers/advocates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred (or relevant/equivalent experience required).
- If no bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Leadership success, strong presentation skills, business acumen, strategic/critical thinking; proficient business tools.
- Adaptable selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success in therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: deep scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (for non-English-speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
