Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field to deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations; handle objections and drive appropriate calls to action to close sales.
- Develop and execute call plans meeting call metrics and optimizing coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Maintain and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product knowledge) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to anticipate changes and optimize brand execution.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred OR relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years industry experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success and presentation skills; effective in matrix environments; collaborative/peer-coaching leadership.
- Preferred: sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency.
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
