Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs; reach win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitor/market dynamics, accounts, disease/product/clinical knowledge) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business preferred; relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years of pharmaceutical/health/science industry experience; 3+ years preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; proficient business tools.
- Adaptable selling approach; uses findings to develop sales strategies; offers innovative solutions.
- Able to anticipate/respond to changes; operates effectively in a matrix environment; credible collaborator and role model.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience with physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
- English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for entry/maintenance into assigned territory facilities; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
