Role (Field-Based)
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships; solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and operating per AbbVie policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance; handle objections and drive logical, reasonable calls to action.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical/sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: 5+ years relevant/equivalent experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED.
- Proven leadership success; strong presentation skills; business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style/behavior; operates effectively in a matrix environment.

Preferred:
- Sales performance success in therapeutic areas.
- Commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge and expert recognition.
- English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).

Requirements:
- Meet all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
