This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and following AbbVie policies and applicable laws.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive logical next steps to close sales.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively identifying and addressing customer needs and expectations; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease, product/clinical/sales expertise) with in-field and brand teams.
- Differentiate the value proposition and develop disease state experts/speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach, develop strategies, and offer innovative solutions.
- Influences others; collaborative in a matrix environment; documented leadership.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
