This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and following AbbVie policies and applicable laws.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve; handle objections and drive logical, reasonable calls to action to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, segments, disease/product/clinical knowledge) to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ preferred in pharma/health/science); high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success, presentation skills, and ability to operate in a matrix environment.
- Influences others; collaborative; leads by example.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience.
- Required: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; good standing/eligible to obtain.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
